New Arrivals by Renee Armstrong

Local favorite, Renee Armstrong has delivered another set of pieces perfectly suited to summer. Made of plush cotton knit, these items look beautiful together as a set, or worn separately. The skirt has a discreet elastic waist and interesting seaming. On both pieces, Renee has played with the fabric direction, giving it subtle pattern variation. $155 each.

A Perrenial Favorite

A perennial summer favorite of our customers - local designer WeMa's Faux Wrap Dress, but this year with a new twist. Wendi adds a fun and modern reverse applique technique in cocoa brown with white hand stitched border. Side ruching at the waist is infinitely flattering on a variety of body types. Seriously. The knit fabric is also perfect for travelers.
Color: Black with applique : $158
Plain black Faux Wrap Dress is $110.

Counting the Ways

Just pondering all the things to love about Portland this morning. Trust me, there are a lot. Often, I get in out-of-towners who ask what some of my favorite spots are. It's a healthy list, so I thought I might as well get it down in type.
Shops:
I don't get out of my own shop much, but when I do, I like to head to these wonderful establishments. I can't always buy what my heart desires, but the owners always have inspired choices (in no particular order):
Halo Shoes - shoes that will leave you weak in the knees [NE Broadway]
Olive Shoes - fabulous, artful shoes that confirm I am a shoe addict.[Pearl]
Aubergine - truly inspired apparel. Wonderful staff too.[Pearl]
Nolita for jeans. Nowhere else.[Pearl]
Matisse for lovely dresses and whimsical store environment. [Pearl]
Ecru Modern Stationer for the best cards and paper in town [Pearl]
Flutter - to feel like I've been to the Paris flea market. Sigh. Really, you must go there![N. Mississippi]
Oh Baby Lingerie - need I say anything more? Really knowledgable staff[Nob Hill & NE Broadway]
Coco & Toulouse Go Shopping - cozy French inspired gift shop for paper, candles, lotions, bags and other accessories[Moreland/Sellwood]
Rich's Cigar Shop - For harder to find fashion magazines[Pearl,Downtown, Nob Hill]

Oh, I know I've missed someone. I'll continue this train of thought on future posts with the topics of food and fun.

Apple of our eye

New in store this week, cop.copine's APPLE tunic, shown here. Available in Black, this would be a noteworthy addition to your summer wardrobe. Piped "ruffles" adorn the hem, raw edged neckline with feminine tie, and faux-pockets are the details that make this instantly identifiable as a "cop.copine". Only a few are in stock (small and mediums only) for $209.
